If you are one of the lucky ones to attend the annual Game Developers Conference you may get a glimpse at the future.

Epic Games will be showing Unreal Engine 4 to select licensees, partners and prospective customers during the exhibition.

We will probably see some footage of this event at or around GDC which will start on March 5th in San Francisco.

Well, they made Unreal Tournament and of course Gears of War, those are pretty big time shooters, selling millions of copies and the studio revealed its new IP at the VGAs last night.

The game is called Fortnite and appears to be a tower defense-esque title from the looks of it. Have a go at the new trailer below.

Hot off the press, the gaming news keeps pouring in days before the Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Today Spike revealed that Epic Games, the creators of Gears of War, are developing a brand new game.

We have no idea as to what the game will be but since it is being created in-house at Epic Games North Carolina we can 'assume' it will be an epic shooter, pun intended.

Epic Games has a huge game out this fall with Gears of War 3. We have seen plenty of multiplayer coverage and some co-op gameplay but what about that story?

Today Epic released a teaser trailer for the big campaign trailer on May 28th, looks like someone is looking for their dad...

It would appear that most press outlets already got their hands on the Gears of War 3 Beta. Today Epic Games revealed that the Beta will be accessible to the public at some point in April.

Fans can also head over to the game's facebook page and vote for their favorite maps.

Remember when Microsoft and Epic delayed Gears of War 3 and you were all sad and logged on for all those Double XP Weekends to get over the sadness? Those days are now numbered!

Epic Games' Rod Furgusson confirmed that Gears of War 3 will be shipping to eager chainsaw amateurs on September 20, 2011. He also teased some more news to drop tomorrow, big news.

Remember that Gears of War 3 Beta CliffyB and Epic were talking about earlier this year? Well, we just found out, via an EA press release, that you'll be able to get in on the fun by purchasing the Bulletstorm Epic Edition'.

In addition to the beta access players will also receive a Bulletstorm bonus which includes 25,000 experience points, visual upgrades for their iconic leash, deadly Peace Maker Carbine, boots and armor.

Bulletstorm hits stores on February 22nd, 2011.

I am always glad to write about a new Bulletstorm trailer - two reasons as to what that is. First, I am looking forward to the game - a lot. Second, there is no need to write much, the game does not need much of an explanation.

At a 'behind closed doors' press event earlier this week Epic games told the present outlets that the recently delayed Gears of War 3 will launch with dedicated multiplayer servers. Players will be able to get early access to try out the new infrastructure when the multiplayer beta opens some time in 2011.

There have been no specific announcements regarding a date for the beta which is only being done now that Epic has time to "use it to improve Gears 3".

Iv got some bad news for everybody today, Microsoft has come out and announced that Gears of War 3 will not be releasing this April it has been pushed back to Fall 2011. Below is what Microsoft had to say.

"Gears of War 3 promises to be the biggest entertainment launch of 2011," - "The teams at Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games have done great work thus far readying the title for release in the Spring of 2011.

As Shacknews reported, Epic Games has revealed that iPhone and presumably iPad and iPod Tocuh support will be build into the free Unreal Development Kit (UDK) as Epic Citadel was downloaded and 'walked' 1 million times since its release. An impressive number. The fact that developers can use the amazing tech of Unreal Engine to develop games for mobile devices is truly amazing and should make for some great applications and games in the near future.
