Seems like the Black Ops DLC train hasn't hit the caboose yet. Activision has announced the release of the fourth DLC pack called 'Resurrection' on August 23rd. The DLC includes re-mastered maps from the original Zombie mode on World at War. Also, a "moon" level along with that "moon" feel you will get a Zombie Moon Theme.
Additionally, this DLC pack comes with a Zombie's Soundtrack with four extra tracks not released on the Zombie Soundtrack released before.
As usual the DLC will hit the XBL Marketplace first and then approximately a month later for PC and PS3. This DLC will run you a cool 1200 Microsoft Points. Hopefully more is announced with multiplayer maps. Onpause will report any further developments.

One of my favorite games back in the day on the Gamecube was Worms 3D. I would spend hours and hours grenading, slapping and snipping those little worms. Today's post is a special one because it has been revealed that Worms 3D, and Worms 4: Mayhem will be getting a PSN and XBLA remake called Worms: Ultimate Mayhem.
Worms: Ultimate Mayhem features all the content from the original two games, but also adds more single-player missions, puzzles, customization options, and worms.
Worms: Ultimate Mayhem will release later this year. Check the first HD screenshots out below.

With all the new console buzz about coming in 2012. Its been speculated that these new next-gen mean machines are going to blow our mind with Avatar Movie style CGI gameplay and next to real life Grand Theft Auto. Does anyone remember what happens when you break promises like that? Well, technically its not promises but, gamers around the world take it to heart. We all know what happens when you push technology and forget about gameplay.
Back on PC it was the Myst series. Yes, some argue that it was heavy in gameplay. For myself I would like to see something teased other than a point and click puzzle game. It looked great for the time. It was all click to a movie. Gameplay is a big issue with the uncertainty of the market right now. Gamers are done playing the same thing just looks different. Enough with the sequels we don't want to be playing Call Of Duty 100. We want something innovative that is gonna grab our attention and keep it going.
Look at the Crusin' USA and the arcade version compared to the N64 version. Case in point Nintendo edits content for younger players. Hence there owning of the kiddie game market. They look to change that with the WII U. Well they gotta do a lot more than let the Third-Party developers take care of the hardcore market. Hardcore Gamers want a dang controller. Not a do-hicky that shows you on a screen how much life you have or how many grenades you have. Good luck Nintendo, I'm rooting for ya.
Next on the list is the original Xbox. Do any of you remember the tech video they showed with the dancing robot and a lady dancing with it? Or The People's champ The Rock telling crowds that WWF Raw is going to be so detailed that you can rip off clothes of your opponents while whipping some candy ass! Well, we got wrestlers that not only didn't have much clothing to rip off and couldn't. The wrestlers walked and ran like robots with a rod in their (area censored)! Don't believe the hype it will let you down every time. Saying and doing a two different things.
Immersing a player in a world is hard to do these days in the industry we have. Gamers expect more. A good population of the gamers I have spoken to want more content. More bang for there buck. Most of the game companies have found a way around the content issue with the advent of PS Store and XBL Marketplace with micro transactions. DLC is great, don't get me wrong. But, If I have to unlock multiplayer just so I can play online and use in game tools associated with the title its gone too far. I see this action as making the consumer pay for the titles used or non-used. I do not like the fact that you buy a used game and you don't get the full value of the game on top of being locked out of portions of the game. Its cheating consumers out of a dated game that isn't worth near as much as it is on the new market. So, Grandma walking into game-store anonymous and picking up a title for a grandchild or child isn't going to grab that points card just so they can play online. Creating major frustration among consumers.
With the new consoles on the horizon and Bringing players into a social environment with linking different services together in one place may be bringing to much to the table. You have to be a hard core trophy and/or achievement hunter to have to post it all over facebook and twitter. Its not going to be a good thing when spam is over running our consoles. Its bad enough with being flooded with chain messages as it is. "fwd this to five of your friends to get (any title) DLC for free!" next we will have the Nigerian population telling us about how many millions we have stowed away from a dead relative passing. If the major three figure out how to avoid all this clutter and make it on the outside a Game Console. Not locking you into features they may have a winner. The future may look crazy but, So did the SNES when it came out.
