For some time now Microsoft has run the Xbox LIVE Rewards program where gamers can earn actual Microsoft Points for the things they do on Xbox or by taking surveys. This actually works and is a nice thing to do for for a loyal fan-base.

Today Microsft tweeted that it will be giving away Microsoft Points for your achievements this fall. We literally have no more details than that but hey, even if it comes years after the initial promise, we may finally be able to cash in our nerd cred for actual money. Well, sort of.

It looks as if 343 wants to make your minds implode because they have just showed off six stunning in-game minutes for the upcoming Halo 4. The below video is what Microsoft revealed on stage at this years E3.

The gameplay shows off impressive new visuals, all new weapons, and a new forerunner type enemy. Definitely give this one a watch!

IF you are like us and just cannot wait for Ubisoft's latest Ghost Recon to release later this month, then we have something to hold you over until you can actually play Future Soldier. Ubisoft has released a short film called Ghost Recon Alpha which is over 20 minutes long.

 

In case you were wondering just when the next Modern Warfare 3 DLC collection was available, I can happily report that this day will be my May 22nd.

Mass Effect 3 has been the center of attention for the past few weeks with a additional cut scenes on the way and scheduled to hit this summer, some of that excitement has died down.

Now it's back to the game. BioWare and EA have released Mass Effect 3's 'Resurgence Pack' DLC which adds to the game's multiplayer component. The DLC includes new maps Hydra and Condor, six new operatives including the rat pack of Asari, Batarian, Krogan and Geth seen above, and a slew of new weapons.

Sure, some people may not have celebrated Easter or spent the weekend at Pax East in Boston unlike us, and picked up Anomaly: Warzone Earth on Xbox LIVE this past Friday.

In case you haven't heard, the game is out on Xbox LIVE and you should give it a look.

Codemasters' Dirt Showdown is a new interpretation of the Dirt rally racing franchise out this May. Codies released a new trailer called Boost for the Win and it looks glorious.

We thought, we had seen it all. Also, we were wrong. Just when we were to believe we'd seen all the different variations a controller can come in, Microsoft dropped the bomb on us.

Today the company revealed the Xbox 360 controller's new version. So far we only know for sure that it will have the new D-Pad and cost 55 bucks. Colors will vary by region but you will be able to check 'local retailers' for that hot pink chrome goodness!

The one downside? Lots of polishing!

Since Assassin's Creed 3 has been available for pre-order it has crushed previous Ubisoft records and dwarfed Assassin's Creed Revelations by having been reserved over 10 times as many copies in the same time frame.

The game also already moved more pre-orders than Brotherhood did in its entire life span. When Assassin's Creed 3 finally hits this fall, it will probably go on to outsell its predecessors by an equal rate.

There aren't many games out there with a name like Awesomenauts and maybe that's for a good reason but the Ronimo Games developed title may just deserve it, I mean have you looked at it?

Awesomenauts will be available via download on the PlayStation Network on May 1st in North America and May 2nd on PS3 and Xbox 360 everywhere else. If you are headed to PAX East this coming weekend, you will also be able to play it - check out booth #754 for some hands on time.

Today Warner Brothers has announced that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition has gone gold and is ready for its scheduled April 17th release date.

The team describes her as a mysterious figure who can bring previously killed enemies back to life. Check out the video below.
