Today 2K Games and Gearbox have revealed that the highly anticipated shooter RPG Borderlands 2 will launch with full Steamworks support when it drops in September.

The Steamworks features will include Steam Achievements, downloadable content, auto-updating, multiplayer matchmaking as well as Steam Cloud support.

Customers who purchase the PC retail version of Borderlands 2 will also be able to enjoy all the great Steamworks features as well. Borderlands 2 features all-new characters and skills, imaginative and diverse new environments with unique missions and enemies, and more exciting, fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before.

I know I can't wait for Borderlands 2, how about you? There ain't no rest wicked.
